ARX Classic Hedgehog House
This sturdy and long-lasting hedgehog house is based on the recommended design from the British Hedgehog Preservation Society, as a permanent type of home. This Premium Ecology version has the same basic design features; a long, secure entrance tunnel to ensure protection from predators, raised feet for insulation and to prevent rot, and a removable lid, to allow cleaning, whilst the channels cut in the underside, ensure a snug fit onto the main house. Constructed from long-life Duraply and with the lid and top of the tunnel coated with recycled farm waste plastic, this will provide a safe, secure and durable house to ensure the well-being of its occupants.
The finished home could be covered with soil and twigs placed on top or left as it is. Dry leaves left outside may be taken in and used for bedding by any prospective resident. This design has been proven to offer excellent insulation against the cold, and the recycled plastic roof material ensures it remains waterproof.
